Our Signature Program
The Japanese in 12 signature program is our masterpiece. It's made up of 12 weeks of content. Inside each week, there are 5 x 15 minute modules. Each module tackles one grammar point, one sentence structure, or one whole topic in simple, no-fluff explanations. Each module includes a video/audio practice, and between 5-10 printable pages of practice. You'll be matched with the level that's right for you :)
Leaderboard & Cash Prizes
As part of the challenge, you'll earn points for completing course tasks on time. Things like watching videos, submitting your practice sheets, and completing quizzes will earn you points. You get to tally up your points and we'll display them on a team leaderboard. There's 4 overall winners plus 4 x 2nd place prizes (one for each level!) plus 4 prizes for the most improvement!
Weekly Challenges + Bonuses
On top of your 15 minutes, 5 times a week, there will also be a weekly live challenge with your cohort. You'll join our private community for a live conversation practice, quiz challenges, and games.

IS THIS COURSE AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE?
No problemo! Upon enrolment, you will complete an in-depth quiz (and a 1:1 if needed), that will give me all the info I need to assign you to the best course for your prior experience.
WHAT IF I HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH JAPANESE?
Nope! There are 6 courses, ranging from beginner to advanced. These courses are in-line with the JLPT (the proficiency exam for the Japanese language). This means that no matter where you're up to, I'll be able to match you with your correct level.
IS JAPANESE IN 12 JUST A BEGINNERS COURSE?
J12 is broken down in 15 minute lessons, and the rest can be done on the go — video lessons, PDF tutorials, worksheets and direct access to both me (aka, your personal cheerleader), and a community of people to help you along. It’s in there, ready and waiting for you to take. Nothing worth having comes easy, but with J12, you're setting yourself up for success.

Award-winning interpreter and head honcho at Japanese in 12. I've been studying Japanese since I was 14, and interpreting, translating and teaching since I was 20 years old. Japanese is the love of my life and my greatest passion.
When I started learning Japanese, it was dry, difficult and textbooky (not a word, but a very real thing).
Fast forward 10 years and now it’s a confusing mess of apps and free resources that don’t encourage actual results. Hands up everyone who tried to learn Japanese, downloaded Duolingo and had a very intense week-long fling, never to open the app again?
For years, I thought... why is it so hard? Why is there no in between and why is there a total lack of resources for people that actually want to learn? You can do a course about KNITTING from your phone, with beautiful videos and instructional resources. So why the heck does this not exist for Japanese? This drove me mad enough to spend a year and a half building it myself.
